Tools to automate Twitter marketing were being heavily promoted a couple of ago. It was thought that Twitter was one of the better ways to build a list and to get folks to order the products you are advertising. Nonetheless, how much of a bang for your buck do you get from any of these tools that were pushed at us to improve our gross revenues? We are going to talk about Twitter marketing and whether or not it is worth your time and expense as part of your internet marketing campaign. Consider this
top list of social networks to assist you.
I was one of those who wanted to find out if getting a large following on Twitter was going to help my product promotion endeavors and so paid for the tools. I enlisted in programs that promised to get me followers on Twitter and purchased software tools to help promote my products. By the time I'd finished, I'd paid for something like eight programs to carry out some of the grunt work involved in Twitter marketing.
One of these software tools was an automatic 'people follower' on Twitter with the aim that some of those people would follow me also. If anyone was not following me, I had another program that would automatically remove them from my to-follow list. Removing non-followers meant I could focus on those who might be persuaded to follow me. Amongst other programs I purchased, there was one tool which automatically tweeted a blog post just as soon as it was posted to my blog. Initially, I was genuinely delighted with the end results after using the programs in combination as they truly delivered on what they promised. Nevertheless, my exhilaration was quickly crushed when I realized that I wasn't generating any money. Daily I would post approximately ten blog entries knowing that they would then automatically be displayed on Twitter also. Thinking that more blog posts would increase my blog traffic, I arranged for my daily blog posts to be made automatically both to my blog and to Twitter also.
Now allow me to reveal to you my results. After three years using these methods, I had gained nearly 10,000 Twitter followers. You might be extremely pleased to have that number of followers, but there's more to come. During those three years I had affiliate links to my products on no less than 15,000 posts in my Twitter account. My blog posts displaying on Twitter was the only type of advertising for that blog I did and to determine the effectiveness of Twitter I did not even ping new posts as they were published. Precisely how 'good' it was rapidly became obvious: after 3 years just two affiliate sales pulled in $46.74 plus a whopping $9.10 for Adsense. With only 2 - 4 visits daily originating from Twitter, maybe this is not surprising.
In a nutshell, having roughly ten thousand followers on Twitter using all these tools will not give you the results you are looking for. At the end of the day I'm now out of money for the Twitter software tools I invested in because my dollar return was so dismal. There may be other more successful ways of promoting on Twitter, but from my experience, using automatic software tools is not one of them. Obtain
